Payment Terms
Last updated: 2026-10-29
These Payment Terms apply when a business customer pays Sentus subscription charges or, where an enabled Sentus payment workflow is available, a user initiates a property-related payment through a Sentus interface. The applicable order form, lease, invoice, vendor agreement, or Property Company record determines the underlying amount owed.
1. Sentus's role
Sentus provides software that submits payment instructions to financial institutions and payment service providers. Unless an executed agreement expressly says otherwise, Sentus is not the landlord, creditor, bank, money transmitter, escrow holder, trust-account custodian, or party that determines rent, deposits, fees, vendor invoices, refunds, or account balances.
2. Authorization
By initiating a payment, you authorize the identified amount and payment method to be charged or debited and authorize related status, verification, fraud-prevention, and reconciliation processing. You represent that you may use the payment method and that the information is accurate. Payment credentials may be tokenized by a payment service provider; do not place full card or bank credentials in messages, notes, or uploads.
3. Subscription billing
Business subscription fees, usage charges, taxes, billing interval, renewal, cancellation, and any implementation charges are stated in the order form. Unless the order form or law says otherwise, subscription charges are due in advance and nonrefundable. Sentus may suspend paid features after notice of an overdue undisputed amount and a reasonable opportunity to cure.
4. Property-related payments, where enabled
The Property Company is responsible for the amount requested, ledger treatment, credits, allocation, late fees, deposits, refunds, and legal notices. A pending, submitted, authorized, or processor-success status does not by itself prove final settlement. A failed, reversed, returned, or disputed payment may leave the underlying obligation unpaid under the lease or other agreement.
5. Autopay and recurring instructions, where enabled
If an enabled workflow allows you to enroll in autopay, you authorize recurring charges under the schedule and amount rule shown at enrollment. You may cancel future recurring instructions through the available account control or the Property Company, subject to reasonable processing time and nonwaivable law. Cancellation does not reverse a payment already submitted or cancel an underlying obligation.
6. Fees, bank charges, and taxes
Any convenience, processing, late, returned-payment, or other fee must be disclosed by the party charging it and is subject to law and the underlying agreement. Your bank or payment provider may impose separate overdraft, insufficient-funds, currency, network, or other charges. Sentus does not control or reimburse third-party charges. Business customers are responsible for applicable sales, use, and similar taxes on Sentus fees, excluding taxes on Sentus income.
7. Timing, availability, and holds
Processing time depends on the payment method, financial institution, networks, fraud review, weekends, holidays, and third-party systems. Sentus does not guarantee immediate authorization, settlement, posting, payout, or availability. A financial institution or payment provider may reject, delay, reverse, or hold a transaction under its own rules or law.
8. Errors, refunds, and disputes
Report a suspected error promptly through the support channel shown for the payment and provide the date, amount, account, and reason without sending full credentials. Property-related refunds and ledger corrections are decided by the Property Company unless law or a payment provider requires otherwise. Subscription refunds are available only when the order form, these terms, or law requires them. Filing a chargeback does not resolve a lease, invoice, or other underlying dispute.
9. Security and unauthorized use
Protect devices, accounts, passcodes, and payment methods. Notify the applicable financial institution, Property Company, and Sentus support promptly about suspected unauthorized use. Sentus may pause a payment workflow to investigate fraud, sanctions, account compromise, security, or legal risk.
10. Third-party terms and privacy
Financial institutions and payment service providers have their own terms and privacy notices. Sentus shares information with them only as needed to process, verify, secure, reconcile, and support the transaction or as law permits. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
11. Disclaimer and liability
Payment interfaces are provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. Sentus is not liable for a third party's independent decline, delay, hold, fee, account action, network failure, or settlement decision. Liability remains subject to the applicableBusiness Subscription Terms orTerms of Service. Nonwaivable payment and consumer rights remain protected.
12. Changes, severability, and contact
Sentus may update these terms prospectively with notice of material changes. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be narrowed and the remainder will continue in effect. Questions about a Sentus subscription charge may be sent tosupport@sentus.ai; questions about property charges should also be directed to the applicable Property Company.
